Re: How about a picture of a FLOODLIGHT?
About the seats. They'll just shift the black and white around and add large patterns in claret or blue won't they. Like the crossed hammers, or whatever That won't cost so much or create much wastage.

Re: How about a picture of a FLOODLIGHT?
UEFA guidance is 10m and we're going for UEFA Cat 4 so it'll be at least that.

Fine for a one off game, but week in week out? No thanks.

A magnificent floodlight for our magnificent new Stadium. 13 of these beasts to be installed over the coming weeks and then they will soon illuminate the skyline once more.

Re: How about a picture of a FLOODLIGHT?
Is there a DRAWBRIDGE to get the players on the pitch?

So when people are saying that the seats are going to be miles away and others say we're bullshitting, we're really not we?

No wonder they want people to go and book seats via a carefully managed booking process with a salesman over the shoulder.

Re: How about a picture of a FLOODLIGHT?
FIFA also suggests putting a MOAT between the fans and the pitch.

That sounds the nuts??? Will there be a portcullis and drawbridge to try and scale??

Gavros 5:23 Tue Feb 17
Re: How about a picture of a FLOODLIGHT?
north and south about that, max. Used to be about 1 metre. All new stadiums have to have a minimum of about 10 now though, under UEFA and FIFA rules. FIFA also suggests putting a MOAT between the fans and the pitch.

What's Upton Park? About 5 metres?

Gavros 5:19 Tue Feb 17
Re: How about a picture of a FLOODLIGHT?
The seats will follow the line of the indide of the roof you see here:

http://i.imgur.com/H210wTH.jpg

At its greatest, the distance between front seats and pitch is about 18 metres. At its smallest (by the corner flags) it goes down to 12 metres.

Johnson 5:15 Tue Feb 17
Re: How about a picture of a FLOODLIGHT?
The size of the whole thing, or the circumference of the roof which then can give a guide to where seats are.

To scale, drop a pitch inside and bingo, you know how far away seats are likely to be.

Gavros 5:06 Tue Feb 17
Re: How about a picture of a FLOODLIGHT?
what you trying to work out Nym, the size of the playing field plus surrounding?

Johnson 4:55 Tue Feb 17
Re: How about a picture of a FLOODLIGHT?
Can any geeks work out the size of that concrete bowl?

Assuming 14*18 leaving space of 1m between each that is a circumference of at least 264m.

That means a diameter of at least 84m. Baring in mind there are seats under the roof, that's massive isn't it or are my sums on the piss?

If only the club would release to scale drawings of this nature so we could all decide for ourselves.
